Overview

The Master of Commerce (MCom) at Monash is a research-driven program that prepares students for a PhD and a future in academia. As part of the Integrated PhD pathway, the MCom takes one to two years to complete, depending on the student’s specialisation and prior qualifications.

It combines advanced coursework with research training to build the skills and knowledge needed for original research. Students who meet the required academic and research standards upon completion may progress directly into a three-year PhD program.

This makes the MCom an ideal starting point for students aiming for an academic or research-focused career.
